A memorandum on academic exchanges and cooperation was signed between the College of Management of Hainan University (HNU) and Thailand's Panyapiwat Institute of Management on July 18.
According to the agreement, the two sides will ramp up cooperation in the doctor of business administration (DBA) project taught in Chinese, the master of business administration (MBA) project, and scientific research. An overseas internship site of HNU's College of Management will also be built in Thailand.

Tang Ningyu, dean of HNU's College of Management, noted that the college is the only DBA cultivation unit in Hainan province, and that Panyapiwat Institute of Management's taught-in-Chinese DBA project is recognized by the Ministry of Education.
There are now more than 1.5 million overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese people in Thailand that are native to Hainan, and many of them are business elites. The university has maintained a sound partnership with the Hainan Association of Thailand, as the latter will send students to study at HNU and the former will send students to Thailand enterprises for internships.
The cooperation between HNU's College of Management and the Panyapiwat Institute of Management will further boost mutual exchanges and talent cultivation, said Yang Zhixi, head of HNU's Division of International Cooperation & Exchange.
